¿Cómo se ha hecho el diseño de «El Gran Textil»?

En este primer post contaremos el inicio de la obra: cómo vamos diseñando

¿Cómo se ha hecho el diseño de «El Gran Textil»?

Esta obra está compuesta de tres territorios: al área metropolitana de Sevilla, La Commune de Reims (Francia) y Galicia (explicaremos en otro post, porque son estas tres) y se ha procedido para su creación con la misma técnica.

La cartografía se ha diseñado partiendo de imágenes satélites y de planimetría CAD oficial de los ayuntamientos es decir con fotografías aéreas y cartografías básicas de las ciudades.

Con ellos hemos recopilado los datos que necesitábamos para nuestro proyecto, como son los planos de ríos, vegetación, carreteras, municipios, topográficos. Hemos establecidos por los límites naturales y políticos-administrativos, como son: los municipios, los ríos y las montañas. 

Una vez tenemos una cartografía propia dibujada por diseño asistido por ordenador. Nos hemos centrado en cada municipio y hemos abstraído estos a través de zonificación. Para poder patronar los elementos que forman el mapa.

Disponiendo ya de los ríos, accidentes geográficos, pueblos, ciudades y comunicaciones, entramos en la fase utópica, es decir, como queremos que sean nuestros territorios. Destacamos aquello que queremos representar de la realidad y dibujamos los elementos que queremos que contribuyan a mejorar la vida en las ciudades.

En este proceso, hemos ajustado las escalas a la obra por dos razones: la primera, para que la cartografía se vea desde la distancia y muestre aquello que queremos, la segunda para en los talleres los/las estudiantes de puedan trabajar con patrones que tengan una escala adecuada.

El programa principal usado para hacer los mapas es Autocad o Rhinoceros, y las cartografías y los datos de vegetación, topográficos, orografías y otros datos se han obtenido de diferentes páginas webs de datos.
