Sevilona: un mapa de Sevilla y Barcelona

Nos encantan los planos, los mapas, disponemos de una pequeña colección de planos de la ciudad de Sevilla, algunos comprados, otros encontrados en las basuras, otros regalados por amigos; y conservamos los planos o guías de las ciudades que visitamos junto a libros sobre cartografías y atlas urbanos. Participar de cosas que pertenezcan a una tradición, a una forma de hacer, a una línea de trabajo, pertenecer a los equipos que desarrollan cartografías de ciudades también nos gusta.

En LaPlasita pensamos en cartografías y hacemos mapas de Sevilla. Sevillas imaginadas. Construir mapas nos permite representar la urbe como nos gusta. Mezclar diferentes momentos históricos en una sola capa, recoger lo que un día fue y traerlo a un presente que aún no se ha dado. Entender los planos, los mapas, como piezas artísticas. Expresarnos a través de construir cartas. Se han desarrollado físicamente tres mapas cuyas “Sevilona”.

Sevilona es un plano donde narrar, y marcar, los lugares que pertenecen a nuestra memoria gastronómica, señalar los espacios donde hemos comido, o hemos tenido una experiencia gastrosofica. Lilian en Barcelona, Jaime en Sevilla. Luego juntos en Sevilla y Barcelona. Marcar lugares en el tiempo, durante 40 años desde los años 80´s.

Dibujamos una Sevilla de finisecular, una ciudad de casco histórico, construida desde diferentes barrios: la Sevilla romana, la árabe, la judía-sefardí; El arenal con sus orillas y sus atarazanas y sus varaderos, la triste Sevilla de la guerra civil, la que fue destruida y en el desarrollismo de los 60´s, la que la droga asoló...

Configuradas sus calles, sus espacios de muchas épocas, teniendo una ciudad patrimonio llamada Híspalis, traemos Barcelona a la planimetría. Barcelona sustituye al barrio de San Vicente de Sevilla; San Vicente de trama ortogonal conformada por el asentamiento de centurias romanas es perfecto para ser suplantado por El Eixample de Barcelona, junto con La plaza de Glòries, un fragmento de la diagonal y las manzanas de Idelfonso Cerdà se instalan en Sevilla formando la nueva ciudad, SEVI-LONA, la ciudad más Barcilona...
