Conoce a los Makers: Maribel Monzón

Seguimos esta semana con las presentaciones de miembros de Makespace Madrid. Hoy os saluda Maribel Monzón:

Soy escultora en 3D de muñecas de resina articuladas por bolas (conocidas como ball jointed dolls o BJD) y actualmente me encuentro trabajando en mi propia línea de muñecas a través de Flamenco Naranja (http://www.flanadolls.com). Para ello utilizo herramientas opensource como Blender para modelar, o una Reprap Prusa i3 para imprimir los prototipos, También realizo los moldes de silicona y los contramoldes de resina.


En estos momentos estoy preparando el modelo completo "Kalice" para poder presentarlo como novedad en la exposición de París Dolls Rendez Vous (http://rever-creer.fr/dolls-rendez/?lang=fr). Tras la buena acogida del modelo facial, ahora toca el turno de diseñar las articulaciones, extremidades, división de piezas, etc. 
 
Gracias a la impresora 3D todo este procedimiento se acelera mucho, y próximamente me gustaría modificarla para que el transporte sea más sencillo, puesto que me gusta mostrar en público la unión de esta tecnología con el mundo tan artesanal del que proceden las muñecas.
