The world does not need another brand of clothing and even less needs more clothing, our purpose is the search for the essential.
We have lost sight of the value of each garment and the resources we use to produce each one of them and we have a clear objective to develop essentials made to last and love.
M.A. are sincere basics for everyday life, manufactured in the best quality merino wool. The properties of this wool make it perfect for all skins in all seasons and its design seeks functionality combined with color.
As a 100% sustainable concept, we are aware of every step of the production and we take care from the origin and selection of the merino wool up to the manufacturing process in our workshop in San Sebastian. We design with wide size range patterns to improve the durability of the garment and we focus on online sales to offer basics at fair and transparent prices without using discounts or marketing strategies.
We support the "BODY POSITIVE" movement, a movement that seeks to make the reality of women's bodies visible.
Feeling at ease with how one is (internally and externally) is projected outward; and it frees us, in the sense of removing ideals that have nothing to do with reality, we need clothes that adapt to our unique body, that make us feel ourselves and leave aside the stress of trying to adapt to imposed patterns.
Main features and goals of the crowdfunding campaign
Description of the project. Main features, strengths and differentials.
Our social commitment is based on three values that define our vision as a project:
• We do not design collections by season, we design basic ones made to last that stay with you day by day, month by month and year by year.
• We focus on the sustainability, traceability and quality of our merino because we believe it is the best fiber for our skin.
• We believe in design as a way to reduce mass consumption, we create evolutionary sets under the concept of "less is more".
The main goals of the project that we present in this third edition are three:
• Collection of material and investment to develop the new Miles Along project; base layers for women and children.
• Investment in our own sustainable silk-screen printing system, we want to avoid any label on our garments.
• Investing in the project's branding through a local entrepreneur and a sustainable fashion fair.
Why this is important
The project is aimed at all women who believe that they do not have to adapt to imposed patterns but have to be themselves, to anyone who has a sustainable awareness of the use of natural resources and those people who are curious about merino wool as the perfect fiber for the skin on a daily basis and for the skin of their children.
Our project is based on km0 development with 100% sustainable fabrics from their extraction, production and natural characteristics beneficial to our daily use. We have been using ZQ merino wool since 2016 and we believe that it is a perfect fabric for the daily life of the adults and above all for the delicate skins of the children.
What is merino?
Merino, a breed of sheep, which is believed to be the oldest breed of sheep in the world. Famous for its fine, soft wool and its ability to thrive in extreme climates, such as the high country of New Zealand, the Australian outback, the plains of South Africa or the mountainous terrain of South America. Merino products are recognized worldwide for their natural luxury, quality and performance.
How are ZQ animals treated?
Our producers depend on their animals for their livelihoods, so it is vital that they provide and care for their animals in the best possible way - healthy, happy sheep make the best wool after all! ZQ sheep graze in some of the most beautiful and remote grassland areas in the world and can roam freely in extensive conditions throughout the year.
Team and experience
Team and experience
I am a mother from San Sebastian, an architect by education and a designer by profession, I have mastered the process of pattern making and production and have specific training and more than eight years of experience in design and product development; my partner is an engineer and provides the basis for business development, organization and resource management, apart from having the support of the best photographer in Gipuzkoa (Abar Aranburu) and GK Green Fashion (sustainable fashion cluster in Gipuzkoa) to develop our project.
This would be our third crowdfunding, we started with merino basics for minimalist travelers, after being parents we continue to support merino wool with baby essentials, where we came to appear in the program "No solo moda" of TVE1 with great enthusiasm.
Now we want to develop a new project of "BASE LAYERS" to be able to feel the comfort and the properties of merino in direct contact with the skin.
