Hace unas pocas semanas, lanzamos una campaña de crowdfunding para constituir la primera plataforma de streaming de habla hispana cooperativa (es decir, propiedad de todos sus trabajadores). En dos días, superamos los cincuenta mil euros, nuestro mínimo. Hoy, vamos por los cien mil.
Y en medio de todo, llegó el estallido. El 23 de septiembre desahuciaron a Maricarmen, una mujer de ochenta y siete años que llevaba toda una vida viviendo en el mismo piso. Una orden judicial y una empresa de miserables la echaron a la calle. Poco después, también la rabia se echó a la calle, y la Puerta del Sol volvió a llenarse de tiendas de campaña. Nosotras estábamos allí, grabando y acampando desde el primer día.
Dormíamos. Despertamos. Quince años después.
En apenas dos semanas, la rabia se contagió a todo el Estado, con acampadas en multitud de ciudades y más de cincuenta protestas en un solo fin de semana. Es la rabia de una generación que no puede pagar un alquiler, y de quienes, como Maricarmen, pueden perderlo todo después de una vida entera.
Al Gobierno se le cayeron en el Congreso dos decretos de vivienda que ya eran insuficientes. Junts se plegó al rentismo. Pedro Sánchez convocó elecciones para el 29 de noviembre. Y poco después, Maricarmen falleció. Antes de poder regresar a su casa. El negocio de la especulación inmobiliaria, y una clase política arrodillada ante los intereses del lobby rentista, la atormentaron durante los últimos años de su vida.
Hoy se abre un nuevo ciclo, y esta vez las instituciones no van a poder dormirlo. Tampoco la ola reaccionaria podrá pararlo. Ya vuelven con lo de siempre, que hay que elegir entre derechas… o derechos. Pero las urnas no bastan. Hay que salir a empujar. La acampada lo entendió antes que nadie, y los sindicatos han respondido. El 11 de noviembre, dieciocho días antes de votar, huelga general. España se para.
Nosotras no vamos a ser espectadoras. Queremos poder estar en primera línea, con un proyecto propio que no dependa de los caprichos de Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg o Donald Trump. Queremos ser un medio y una plataforma de streaming organizada de forma cooperativista, que cubra desde dentro el ciclo de impugnación social que empieza: con cine social, reporterismo, periodismo y creación de contenido comprometido.
Una iniciativa que demuestre que la propiedad colectiva, el cooperativismo, es la única respuesta frente a la concentración mediática y los feudos digitales. Si algo ha demostrado este estallido es que la vía institucional, sola, no alcanza. Hay que construir el «afuera», el músculo social y cultural popular. Un contrapoder colectivo, lejos de las salidas individuales en las que cada creador negocia solo su hueco.
Solo juntas. Solo juntos.
Así se le hace frente a la extrema derecha, al conformismo parlamentario y a la desesperanza. Nos decían que los jóvenes eran todos reaccionarios, y la calle ha demostrado que era mentira. Nos dicen que enfrentarse a los tecnoligarcas es imposible, y estamos demostrando que podemos construir la alternativa.
Hagámoslo juntas.
