This series seeks to leave a visual record of their importance before it’s too late.

This project was born from a personal transformation. During a journey through Chilean Patagonia, I began photographing landscapes and it was there that I discovered my connection with nature. What started as an aesthetic interest turned into a deep admiration for wildlife. Upon returning to Colombia —the country with the most bird species in the world— I decided to combine my background as a video producer with this love for nature and devote myself to documenting the birds of our country.

"Birds of Colombia" is aimed at people who love nature, enjoy wildlife documentaries, and care about conservation. It is also intended for educators, students, researchers, and communities living near these ecosystems. This is a project for those who believe there is still hope if we learn to truly observe the natural world around us.

Creating a documentary series about wildlife in Colombia is a dream that requires more than passion.
It takes time, production equipment, travel to remote areas, countless hours of patient observation, and careful post-production to truly honor the beauty and value of these birds.
But to continue raising the quality of this series and reaching more people, I need your support.

My name is Anderson Vásquez García, a video producer born in Cali, Colombia. I studied audiovisual production and, over the years, found my greatest source of inspiration in nature. I have worked independently on wildlife-focused film projects, gaining experience in field recording, nature photography, editing, sound design, and visual storytelling.

I am currently the sole creator behind the "Birds of Colombia" project. I handle every step of the process — from research and fieldwork to post-production and publishing.
Several episodes have already been completed, and a new part of the series is currently underway.
